Improvement is the goal in every athletic endeavor. Due to the generosity of the college and the Heisman Club, the Yeoman and Yeowomen of Oberlin College will be able to do just that. A project that started in the summer of 2010 and wrapped up in the spring of 2011, the weight room has seen over $250,000 of much needed improvements. The end product is a facility that student athletes, faculty, staff and community members can all take pride in. The recent renovations included replacing the flooring, ceiling and lighting, repainting, installation of satellite radio, and the addition of three combo racks, medicine balls, kettle bells, abductor/adductor machine, leg raise machine and a four way neck machine.
More recently, the weight room has seen another improvement due to the generous donation from the Krislov-Sheon Family. The donation has enabled the department to purchase new weight machines as well as som additional training equipment.
