The Savage Football Stadium and Dill Field complex is a 3,000-seat outdoor arena which hosts numerous Oberlin athletics competitions, from football and men's lacrosse to outdoor track and field. It includes a seven-lane all-weather running track.
Oberlin's outdoor facilities also include a baseball stadium, softball complex and fields for the men's and women's soccer, field hockey and lacrosse programs. A wood chip cross country/community trail has been added to the northwest corner of the athletic complex.
Construction was completed in the fall of 2008 on Kahn Track and Shults Field. The outdoor facility, which includes an eight-lane state-of-the-art running track, was made possible by a lead gift from Robert Kahn ’55. Shults Field is the home of both soccer programs and men's lacrosse and is equipped with four stadium lights for night games and seating for 1,000 spectators with a press box. The field is named after long-time Oberlin coach Fred Shults '54. Richard Bailey ’51 donated the funding for the soccer and lacrosse field.
