OBERLIN, Ohio - Oberlin College softball and second-year skipper
Sara Schoenhoft welcome assistant coach
Sally Snover to the team for the 2017 campaign.
Snover comes to Oberlin after serving as an assistant at her alma mater Washington (Md.) College, from 2013 to 2016.
As a player, Snover served as team captain all four years for the Shorewomen, earning All-Centennial Conference honors as a sophomore. She started all 152 games over her four-year career at third base and closed her tenure as one of the most productive players in program history.
Her single-season record of 26 walks still stands and the 48 she earned over her career puts her fifth all-time. She currently sits seventh in career at-bats with 429, eight in runs-batted-in and tenth in runs scored (72).
Snover was named to the Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team twice as a junior and senior and was a Centennial Conference academic honor roll selection three times.
"I love Sally's energy and passion for softball," commented Schoenhoft. "She was instrumental in creating a winning culture as a player and then as a coach at Washington College. Her experience and success will undoubtedly help elevate and enhance our program. I believe Sally is a great addition and I can't wait to get out on the field this fall and start working," she concluded.
