2015 NCAA Men's 8k Results WINNECONNE, Wis. – Geno Arthur made a return trip to the National Collegiate Athletic Association Championships for the third consecutive time, and this time the Camarillo, California, native made history by finishing 22
nd overall and registering his second consecutive All-American finish.
Arthur completed the men's 8k trek in a time of 24:47.7, to end the cross country season as an All-American for the second straight year. He becomes the only male runner in program history to be a two-time All-American in the sport and ends his cross country career as the most decorated harrier in men's program history.
His 19
th-place performance at the 2014 Championships is the second-best finish from a male runner at the NCAA meet in school history.
Arthur's is the 11
th All-American performer to run under head coach
Ray Appenheimer. His gallop in Winneconne, Wisconsin, elevates the men's program indefinitely as Appenheimer returns the majority of the roster for the 2016 season.
As winter comes, Arthur will look to collect his fourth overall All-American honor during the indoor track and field season after finishing third at nationals in the men's 5,000-meters last year.
The indoor track and field season is slated to begin on December 5, when the Yeomen and Yeowomen travel to Alliance, Ohio, and the University of Mount Union.
