Leclercq Earns Second Player of the Week Award

Westlake, Ohio – For the second time this season, Oberlin College senior Farah Leclercq was named as the North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
 
Leclercq, a native of Ocala, Florida, went 5-0 during the Yeowomen's recent spring break trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina. She won all three of her singles matches in straight sets with the first coming against Bridget Doyle of Carleton College who is No. 17 in the region. The former standout at Vanguard High School also topped opponents from Virginia Wesleyan and St. Olaf to extend her winning streak to five in a row.
 
Furthermore, she and doubles partner Grace Porter recorded a pair of 8-5 wins in the top spot against Carleton and St. Olaf. The duo is has won eight of their last 10 matches and recently moved into No. 4 in the ITA Central Region Rankings.
 
Leclercq previously earned player of the week honors from the conference on March 18.
