Westlake, Ohio – Junior
Charlie Marks was named as the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Marks, a native of nearby Chagrin Falls, Ohio, led the Yeomen to a 7-2 win against Mount Union this past week, handing the Purple Raiders their first loss of the season.
The Yeomen are off to a 4-1 start under new head coach
Eric Ishida, and Marks has played a major roll in the hot start. He is currently on a three-match winning streak at No. 1 singles, and he and doubles partner
Ben Turchin are a perfect 5-0 at No. 1 so far this spring.
This past week, Marks made short work of Nate Flocker, earning a 6-2, 6-0 win in the top spot. He and Turchin were also convincing 8-2 winners in doubles.
Marks and the rest of the Yeomen will look to keep it rolling on Saturday when they host Grove City College at 10 a.m.
