Brenna Sheldon earned the first NCAC Player of the Week award of the season, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
Sheldon is off to a hot start this spring, as she is 3-0 in doubles play and 2-0 in singles. Dating back to the fall season she is riding a three-match winning streak in singles and six-match winning streak in doubles.
This past Saturday she did not drop a game a in a 6-0, 6-0 defeat of Sammi Kruger from Otterbein at No. 2 singles. She and teammate
Preeya Shah were also 8-4 winners at No. 2 doubles. Her efforts helped the Yeowomen down the Cardinals by an 8-1 count.
Sheldon and the rest of the Yeowomen will be back in action on Friday when they host Case Western Reserve at 4:30 p.m.
