Oberlin, Ohio- The Oberlin College men's basketball team fell to the visiting Battling Bishops of Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday night. The final score of the NCAC matchup was 81-57.

Andrew Fox carried the Yeomen for most of the contest, having a game high 22 points. He also added 12 boards, for his eighth double-double of the year. It also marks his first 20+ point and 10+ rebound game of the season. Fox also had two steals, two blocks and a team high four assists.
Geoff Simpson and
Miles Gueno were the only other Yeomen in double figures on the night, both scoring 12 points.
Ohio Wesleyan led the entire game, and jumped out to a quick 15-5 lead in the first six minutes of the game. The Yeomen were down by 17 before clawing back into the game. The last 9:07 of the first half, the Yeomen outscored the Battling Bishops by a total of 21-13. They headed into halftime down by a manageable nine points, with the score being 33-42.
The first few minutes of the second half were back and forth, as Oberlin found themselves down nine points once again at the 16:41 mark. However, OWU then went on a 12-1 run over the next five minutes of game time and never looked back. They had their biggest lead of the night of 30 points when they were up 76-46 with 6:08 to go in the game.
The Battling Bishops made their game plan of getting the ball inside very clear from the beginning of the game. They used their size well, and outscored the Yeomen 50-20 in the paint. Oberlin shot 39% from the floor going 23-for-59. They were 5-of-20 from behind the arc. They also were 6-of-10 from the charity stripe.
The Yeomen come down the home stretch of their 2011-12 campaign with only four games left. Their next contest is February 8
th, when they travel to Gambier, Ohio to take on Kenyon. The conference matchup is scheduled to tip at 8 p.m.
