An Evening with Billie Streets PhD ’86

Presented by The John W. Heisman Club, Career Services and the Multicultural Resource Center

Oberlin Ohio – Students and all Oberlin constituents will have the opportunity to meet with one of the highest-ranking women in professional sports when class of 1986 graduate Theodosia “Billie” Streets comes to campus for a presentation on Tuesday, February 7. Her presentation will run from 7:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. in Wilder Hall.

Streets is the Vice President of Corporate Events and Communications Administration at Madison Square Garden.  Additionally, she oversees Madison Square Garden's Archive Project and Madison Square Garden's Photo Services Department.

Her work encompasses implementation, marketing and production of events, meetings and press conferences for MSG Corporate, MSG Entertainment, MSG Garden of Dreams Foundation, MSG Media, MSG Sports, New York Knicks (NBA), New York Rangers (NHL) and New York Liberty (WNBA).

Prior to this position, Streets was Director Special Events for the New York Knicks.  She was later promoted to the position of Directorship of Special Events for Madison Square Garden, producing and implementing events for MSG Corporate, Radio City Music Hall, MSG Cheering for Children Foundation, MSG Networks, New York Knicks, New York Rangers and New York Liberty. 

Streets manages a budget in excess of $4.5 million for Madison Square Garden and generates an impressive revenue stream based on working with corporate clients, New York's professional sports teams, and other clients of the Garden.

After graduating from Oberlin in 1986 with a degree in sociology, she went to The Ohio State University where she earned a Master's in Business Administration (MBA).  She recently received her Doctorate in Management and Marketing at Pace University in 2011.

At the event she will speak on the forces and experiences that shaped her interests and career.  After her talk she is happy to answer questions and have a dialogue with students who want to learn more.
