Oberlin, Ohio – Oberlin College Head Women's Basketball Coach
Kerry Jenkins has announced the hiring of Jody Burrows as his lead assistant for the upcoming season.
Burrows comes to Oberlin from Northeastern University where she spent last season as an assistant coach at her alma mater. With the Huskies, she was responsible for the development of backcourt players while assisting with recruiting, film exchange and game-day operations.
“I am excited to bring someone of Jody's caliber to our program,” Jenkins said. “She has a good basketball mind and will be a great addition to our staff.”
Burrows was a three-time captain for the Huskies during her standout career from 2003-07. She is fourth all-time in career assists and also set the single-season school record with 143 helpers during her junior year (2005-06).
During her freshman campaign (2003-04) she was named to the American East All-Rookie Team. Throughout her time on Huntington Avenue she was involved in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and was named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Seniors in 2007.
Burrows graduated Cum Laude from Northeastern with a degree in organizational communications.
