Oberlin, Ohio – The Oberlin College men's tennis recruiting class received some high praise from
tennisrecruiting.net, as Head Coach Adam Shoemaker has inked the 25th best class in the country at the Division III level according to the website.
The promising group of incoming freshmen includes two-star recruit Logan Chun (Honolulu, HI/ Iolani School), and one-star players Charlie Marks (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Hawken) and Alex Koeberle (Irvine, Calif/Sage Hill School).
“This core of players will help our team from day one,” Shoemaker said. “Each of them has the potential to be highly competitive against other players from our conference and I looking forward to working with them over the next four years.”
Chun, who is the seventh ranked player in the entire state of Hawaii, registered 12 singles victories this past season.
Koeberle also racked up 12 wins on the circuit en route to winning the Academy League title.
Marks, who is ranked 20th in the state of Ohio, had 12 singles victories on the year and also won the Division II sectionals in doubles.
Oberlin will begin its 2010-11 season on September 24 at the ITA Regionals on the campus of Kalamazoo College.
