Westlake, Ohio – After successfully defending her NCAC Combined Events title, senior Madeline Schultz has been named as the North Coast Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Monday evening.

Schultz, a native of Concord, Massachusetts, totaled 4,044 points in the heptathlon, topping second-place finisher Stephanie Mitchell of Ohio Wesleyan by 299 points.

She finished in the top three in six out of the seven events and was either first or second in five events. Her best performance came in the 800 meters where she blistered the field in 2:20.69.

Schultz will be a key factor in helping the Yeowomen score big at this weekend's NCAC Championships.
