Westlake, Ohio – The Oberlin College women's tennis team was selected to finish fourth in the North Coast Athletic Conference as voted on the league's coaches in the annual preseason poll, which was released on Monday.
So far this season the Yeowomen have compiled a 4-5 dual-meet record with seven of their nine matches taking place this past month.
Oberlin is led by reigning NCAC Player of the Year
Ariel Lewis. The sophomore from Vacaville, California, went to the NCAA Individual Championships last season. During the early portion of this season she has complied a 7-2 record at No. 1 singles.
“This ranking is about where I thought the fellow coaches would put us,” Head Coach
Constantine Ananiadis said. “However, it doesn't mean that is where we are going to finish, as we have been able to finish third the last two years and will challenge for a top-three finish again this season.”
