Oberlin, Ohio – The remnants of the winter weather that swept through much of the country has forced additional schedule changes for the Oberlin men's lacrosse and baseball teams.
The Yeomen baseball team was slated to start their season on Friday in Berea, Kentucky, against Berea College, but unplayable field conditions at the school have forced that game to be canceled. With a rainy forecast predicted in Maryville, Tennessee, this weekend, Oberlin has also elected to cancel its scheduled four-game set against the Scots. It is undetermined at this time if the games will be rescheduled. Oberlin will finally hope to start its season on March 20 with an NCAC series at Hiram.
The men's lacrosse team, which has already postponed its March 6 contest against Otterbein to May 5, will finally being its season on Saturday against Shenandoah. However, poor playing conditions at Fred Shults Field has forced that game to be moved to nearby Bay Village High School. The contest will still begin at its original start time of 1 p.m., however live video will not be provided.
