Jaffe Tabbed as a Jewish Sports Review All-American; Lipshultz Earns Honorable-Mention Accolades

Dan Jaffe was named as a Jewish Sports Review All-American.
Los Angeles, Calif. – Oberlin College senior soccer player Dan Jaffe was named as a Jewish Sports Review All-American, while junior goalie Zach Lipshultz  earned honorable-mention accolades the publication announced in its January issue.

Jaffe, a native of Arlington, Massachusetts, was one of the best defensive-minded midfielders in the North Coast Athletic Conference this season as he earned Second-Team All-NCAC honors at years end.

His lone goal of the season propelled the Yeomen to a 1-0 overtime win over Rose-Hulman on September 12. Jaffe, who started all 17 games this season after being limited to just 12 games due to injury in 2008, also added an assist in a 1-0 win over Muskingum seven days later.

In his four-year career, Jaffe played in 52 games for the Yeomen.

Lipshultz, who stayed healthy for a full season for the first time in his career, finished second in the NCAC in save percentage (.839), saves (94), saves per game (5.53) and goals against (18).
