Oberlin, Ohio – The Oberlin College track and field team turned in many strong runs against Thiel College on Friday night at John W. Heisman Field House.

“It was good to get back out there and compete,” Head Coach Ray Appenheimer said. “This was just the first of many steps in preparing us for conference.”

Senior Clara Shaw won both the 500-meter dash (1:20.02) and 1000-meter run (3:03.82) to guide the Yeowomen.

Solomon Turner turned in a pair of wins for the Yeomen as he won the 55-meter dash in 6.71 and the 200-meter dash in 23.01.

Seth Wimberly (500-meter dash/1:06.9), Alexander Krichels (1000-meter run/2:45.05) and Eric Line (mile/4:39.63) also added wins for the Yeomen.

Oberlin will return to action on Saturday, January 23, at Baldwin-Wallace College.
