Oberlin, Ohio – Playing without one of its best players, the Oberlin College women's basketball team lost to Denison University 69-26 on Wednesday evening at Philips Gym.

Senior Kayla Brandt was the lone Yeowoman in double figures as she finished with 11 points. Fellow senior Emily Chu Finkel also added 11 rebounds in the loss.

Oberlin (2-12, 1-4 NCAC) jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead, but from then on the Big Red (11-4, 3-3 NCAC) took control of the game and never looked back.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Denison, which led 29-15 at half and shot 45-percent (27-of-60) from the floor.

Oberlin will look to bounce back on Saturday afternoon when it travels to Hiram College for a 1 p.m. conference clash.
