Gambier, Ohio – Sophomore sensation Taylor Fey scored her 100th career goal, but it wasn't enough as the Oberlin College women's lacrosse team lost to Kenyon College 21-6 on Wednesday afternoon.

Fey, a native of Raymond, Maine, scored three times on the day to raise her career goal total to 102. The milestone play came with 9:12 left in the opening half. First-year Alice Zicht added two scores, while senior Dana Rich dished out three assists to go along with an 8-meter goal.

“I am extremely happy for Taylor and what she has been able to accomplish in such a short period of time,” head coach Deb Ranieri said. “She is truly a special player that means a lot to our program,”

Unfortunately, the Ladies would spoil Fey's historic day by scoring the game's first eight goals in en route to leading 15-2 at the half.

The Yeowomen were out-shot 40-18 on the day, but rookie goalie Emily Perry turned away eight of those shots by the Ladies.

Oberlin will honor its senior class on Saturday when Wittenberg comes to town for a 2 p.m. tilt.
