Yeoswimmers Earn Academic Honors

Yeoswimmers earned academic honors.

Scottsdale, Ariz. – The Oberlin College men's and women's swimming and diving teams were named by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) to their All-Academic team list, the organization announced over the weekend.

The Yeomen and Yeowomen each posted a team GPA of 3.32 during the fall semester to earn the award. A total of 273 teams – 184 women's and 89 men's – across all divisions of the NCAA made the listings by recording a team grade point average of 3.00 or better.

“This award is very important to me and our team,” head coach Mark Fino said. “It shows that amount of work these young men and women put in not only in the pool, but in the classroom as well.”

The Yeomen's mark of 3.32 was ninth best in all of Division III as they were the only male team from the NCAC to earn the prestigious recognition.

Both the men and women are preparing for the NCAC Championships that are set to begin on Thursday morning in Canton, Ohio. Fans can watch streaming video of the meet by clicking here.
