Kent, Ohio
– Competing at the 2009 Kent State Golden Flash Gala the Oberlin College men's and women's track and field teams began the indoor portion of their season Friday afternoon and will conclude the action Saturday.

Day one highlights included senior distance runner Cordelia Revells 18th place finish as she stopped the clock at 18:42.58 in the women's 5000 meter run among a field of mostly NCAA Division I and II athletes.

Only a few members of the Oberlin squads competed this afternoon. The day was mainly comprised of field events, the women's pentathlon, and men's heptathlon. Saturday will bring more action as day two begins at 10 a.m.

Following the holiday break the Yeomen and Yeowomen will return to the track mid January as they host the Oberlin Invite in John W. Heisman Field House on the 15th at 6 p.m.
