Kansas City, Kans. – The Oberlin College men's soccer team was named as a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Academic Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
To be eligible for the award, a team must have had a minimum GPA of at least 3.0 during the 2008-09 academic year. The Yeomen, who were the lone squad from the NCAC to make the list, turned in a team GPA of 3.31.
“I am proud of how hard these guys work in the classroom as well as on the field,” Head Coach
Blake New said. “This award shows the type of young men we have on our team and how they go about their business in a professional manner.”
Oberlin finished the season 9-6-2 overall and 4-4-1 in the NCAC, missing the conference tournament by just one point.
