Nick Lashway was named as the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced on Monday evening.
Lashway, a native of Leeds, Massachusetts, won the 100-yard back in 54.77, the 100-yard butterfly in 54.03 and 200-yard IM in 2:03.58 to help the Yeomen defeat Baldwin-Wallace for their first dual-meet win of the season on Saturday. He also placed second in the 50-yard free (22.96) against Allegheny on Friday evening.
Lashway holds season-best top times in the 200-yard free (1:50.09), 1,650-yard free (18:23.16), 100-yard back (54.77), 100-yard fly (54.03) and 200-yard IM (2:03.58). He is also a member of all five relay units that have season-best times.
The NCAC Swimmer of the Week award was just created this season, with Lashway earning the award for the first time in his career. He joins
Sara Kadi as the only other Oberlin recipient of the honor.
He and the rest of the Yeoswimmers return to action on December 3-5 at the Wooster Invitational.
