Yeowomen Move Up to Thirteenth in the Nation

First-Year Sara Terashima was named NCAC Newcomer of the Year.
New Orleans, La. – The Oberlin College women's cross country team achieved its highest national ranking in school history, moving up nine spots to No. 13 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Poll, the organization announced on Wednesday evening.

The Yeowomen, who finished second overall at last weekend's NCAA Great Lakes Regional meet, will be making their first trip to nationals since 1984 when they make the short trek over to the Highland Hills Golf Course in nearby Cleveland, Ohio.

The athletics department has secured a fan bus for those who want to travel to the event and cheer on the Oberlin harriers. The free bus ride is open to anyone wishing to attend, but as of 10:30 a.m. on November 19, only 10 spots remain on the bus. So act fast and register now!

The women's race will get underway on Saturday, November 21, at 11 a.m. with the men's race to follow at 12 p.m. First-year Eric Line will be running as an individual in the men's race as well.
