Box Score

Cleveland, Ohio –
The Oberlin College volleyball team won the first set 25-23, but the host Case Western Reserve Spartans rebounded to claim the next three sets (25-15, 31-29, 25-12) to knock off the Yeowomen on Wednesday night.

“At times we had long successful rallies, but unfortunately we also had extend stretches where we didn't play well,” Head Coach Carey Cavanaugh said. “We played a little out of character tonight and we need to work on being more consistent.”

In the second set, Oberlin trailed 14-3 early on, but rallied all the way back to get within 17-14 before Case was able to finish off of the game.

The loss snaps a two-game winning streak for the Yeowomen.

Oberlin (9-9) has a busy Homecoming Weekend ahead. The Yeoewomen officially kickoff of the festivities on Friday night at 7 p.m. against Wooster and host both Denison (1 p.m.) and Wittenberg (7 p.m.) on Saturday.
