Richmond, Ind. – The Oberlin College volleyball team made short work of Earlham College on Saturday afternoon as the Yeowomen took down the Quakers in straight sets 25-21, 25-16 and 25-20.

“This was a great team win,” Associate Head Coach Eric Stark said. “Everybody contributed in a positive role and our hitting coverage was the best it's been all year.”

The Oberlin offense ran like a well-oiled machine with senior Rita Kaplon steering the ship with 38 assists for an average of 12.67 helpers per match. Amanda Wysk was one of the beneficiaries of Kaplon's guidance as she had 14 kills on 35 swings.

Fellow junior Anna Frackman also had a great all-around performance as she hit a team-high .364 with 12 kills on 22 total attacks.

Senior Tammela Platt led the defensive effort with 17 digs.

The first set was played pretty evenly and with Oberlin down one, 21-20, the Yeowomen fought off a long rally to earn point and gain momentum for the rest of the match – starting with four straight points to closeout the set.
