Dum Scores Four Times in a Slashing of the Scots

Wooster, Ohio – Senior Skyler Dum scored all four goals for the Oberlin College men's soccer team in a dominant 4-1 victory over The College of Wooster Fighting Scots on Saturday afternoon.

“This was a good effort for us today,” Head Coach Blake New said. “We came out ready to play and I felt we did a good job in controlling the tempo of the match.”

Dum, a native of Milford, Michigan, netted his first goal 18 minutes in and added his second score just 5:43 later to give Oberlin (8-5-2, 3-3-1 NCAC) a 2-0 lead at the break.

His second-career hat trick came on a penalty kick at 56:39 and his historical scoring day would be capped off just 66 seconds later at 57:45, making it the score Dum 4 – Wooster 0. With the career-high scoring day, Dum now has 11 goals on the season.

Oberlin had 12 shots on goal in the match and had an 8-6 edge in corners.

Zach Lipshultz made three saves over 80:32 before giving way to Chris Sundby, who saw his first action of the season.

The Yeomen look to extend their two-game winning streak on Tuesday night when Kenyon College comes to town for a 7 p.m. conference clash.
