Springfield, Ohio – For the third straight game, the Oberlin College women's soccer team found themselves on the wrong end of a 1-0 decision, this time against the Wittenberg University Tigers on Saturday afternoon.

“The game really lacked rhythm from both teams,” Head Coach Kristen Hayden said. “They had more opportunities than us today, but we have been fighting hard and just need to keep battling the way we have been.”

In the 27th minute it was Sheryl Chambers fourth goal of the season that proved to be the difference. The shot came from 15-yards out and was finished into the top right corner of the goal with an assist coming from Kailey Striebel.

Oberlin (4-9-2, 0-5-0 NCAC) triggered just three shots in the match, with Liza Marshall taking two. Hannah Combe had Oberlin's lone shot on goal.

Wittenberg (8-3-3, 3-2-0 NCAC) fired off 15 shots with seven on goal. The Tigers also had a 5-0 edge on corner kicks.

Sarah Gribinski continues to be solid in goal as she finished with six saves on the afternoon.

Oberlin will look to bounce back on Wednesday afternoon when it travels to Wooster for a 4 p.m. NCAC tilt.
