November 19 – The Oberlin College men’s soccer team had five players earn league honors from the North Coast Athletic Conference, the conference office released on Wednesday afternoon.
Junior
Skyler Dum, senior
Kyle Taljan, and first-year
Oliver Miller-Farrell garnered All-NCAC Second-Team accolades, while senior
Michael Mullaley and sophomore
Wyatt Hayman were tabbed as honorable-mention recipients.
Dum was one of the most prolific scorers in the conference in 2008, racking up a career-high 10 goals on the season while adding two assists along the way.
Taljan, a 2007 first-team selection and 2005 honorable-mention player, has been a premier defender for the Yeomen during his four-year career and will surely be missed next year.
Miller-Farrell had one of the most impressive rookie seasons in school history as he orchestrated the Yeomen offense as their top assist man this fall. His 11 helpers over 19 games were second best in the conference. He also added a pair of goals on the year.
Mullaley and Hayman both earned honorable-mention status for the second-straight season. Hayman, a second-year player, ended third on the team with four goals, while Mullaley found the back of the net three times during his senior campaign.
