November 17 – Sophomore Gillian Winbourn and senior Abigail Brox were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Great Lakes Region Second Team, the organization announced on Monday.

“I am proud of both Gillian and Prunie (Abigail),” head coach Deb Ranieri said. “They worked so hard all year long and they are truly deserving of this honor.”

Winbourn was one of the premier defenders in the NCAC this past season, leading the conference with eight defensive saves. She started all 18 contests for the Yeowomen and added one assist on the year.

Brox, a former NCAC First-Team selection and 2005 Newcomer of the Year award winner, is being named to the all-region team for the second-straight season after closing out her career with team highs in goals (6), assists (6) and points (18) in 2008.
