Earlham enters the game fresh off its first win of the season, a 49-41 triumph over Hiram last Saturday … the Quakers average 22 points per game, but are surrendering 38.5 points per game – second to last in the NCAC … EC also allows 425.8 yards of total offense per game, the second-highest total in the league … offensively the Quakers are a passing team - ranking second in the conference with 266.5 yard per game through the air … by contrast they are recording just 81 yards per game on the ground … quarterback Randy Kerns is second in the conference with 257.5 yards per game and his 14 touchdown tosses are second to only Wabash's Matt Hudson (21).

Greg Mangan is already the school's all-time leader in touchdown passes and yardage, but today his is looking for another milestone to add to his illustrious career as he needs just 20 completions to pass James Parker (1994-97/545) as the all-time completions leader as well … so far this season, he is averaging 19.5 completions per game – connecting on 117-of-180 attempts for an impressive 65-percent.

The Yeomen have been impressive handling their business at home against NCAC rivals… dating back to 2006 Oberlin is 7-2 against league foes at the friendly confines of Savage Stadium … Oberlin was a perfect 5-0 against league members in 2007 and has already beaten Ohio Wesleyan, 28-15, in their lone conference home tilt of the fall.
